Rabbi Yehoshua Wender was raised in Washigton, DC and received Smicha Yoreh Yoreh Yadin Yadin from Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim where he attended for fourteen years, three of which were spent in Eretz Yisroel. He also served as Dean of Judaic Studies at the Robert M. Beren Academy and taught there for twenty-one years. Currently, Rabbi Wender is the dean of the Torah Girls Academy of Texas as well as the Menahel the Sephardic Gan/Torat Emet. In addition, Rabbi Wender is the Rabbinic Chairman of the Houston Kashruth Association (HKA) and the local Rabbinic representative for the OU and Star K.

Rabbi Wender has been our Rav since 1985 and has been a driving force in the amazing growth we have seen. Rabbi Wender is also a world-renowned speaker and is highly respected for his commanding knowledge of Halacha. Rabbi Wender’s guidance and spiritual leadership are a cherished asset of our community.
